Fidan: Gaza shows int’l system benefits select few

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Tuesday that the war in Gaza is proof that the international system “is designed for the privilege of a certain minority.”

Speaking at the Future of Palestine Conference, Fidan stressed that this system is currently being “used and abused.” “The international system is intentionally not stopping this genocide,” the Turkish official said, warning that if it is not fixed, problems occurring in Gaza will be seen elsewhere.

Fidan underscored that actions need to be taken, as a lot is being said at the moment, but nothing is being done to prevent the genocide in the Middle East.
