Former Minister of Industry, former CEO of the CPG and three businessmen sweetened themselves with phosphate

The Financial Corruption Indictment Chamber at the Tunis Court of Appeal issued an arrest warrant against a former Minister of Industry, a former general director of the Compagnie des Phosphates de Gafsa (CPG) and three businessmen who are active in the transport of phosphate, including a former member of the dissolved Parliament….

This fine collection of white-collar offenders and other accused are anticipated at the Criminal Chamber specializing in financial corruption at the Court of First Instance of Tunis, reports Mosaïque FM this Thursday, July 11.

The same source added that yesterday, the Indictment Chamber scrutinized a contract to extract and transport more than 600,000 tonnes of “refined phosphate” from the Meknassy mine. The violations and misdemeanours detected will result in this gang being prosecuted for exploiting public office to receive an undue advantage for themselves or others by harming the administration, infringing the regulations governing these operations, and issuing certificates containing false information.
