France-13 French Soldiers Killed in a Helicopter crash in Mali

Thirteen French soldiers perished in a helicopter collision during an operation against jihadists in Mali, the French president’s office announced.
“The president announces with deep sadness the death of 13 French troops in Mali on the evening of Nov. 25, in an accident between their two helicopters during a combat mission against jihadists,” the statement from the president’s office said.

On his part,French President Emmanuel Macron uttered his “profound grief” over the occurrence.

“These 13 heroes had only one goal: to protect us,” President Macron wrote in a tweet. “I bow to the pain of their loved ones and comrades.”.
