Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, French President Emmanuel Macron and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez slammed on Friday Israel’s attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon’s (UNIFIL) headquarters in Naqoura.
“We, the leaders of France, Italy and Spain, condemn the recent attack on Unifil by the IDF. We express our outrage at the injuries sustained by several peacekeepers in Naqoura. These attacks constitute a serious violation of Israel’s obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and international humanitarian law. These attacks are unjustifiable and must cease immediately,” the leaders said.
