France suspends COVID-19 hydroxychloroquine use

France has stopped its permission for hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19, a government decree published on Wednesday 

The steps came after the French National Council for Public Health advised against the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat the coronavirus and regulators suspended clinical trials. The drug was earlier taken by United States President Donald Trump as a preventive measure.
