France to make virus jab mandatory for healthcare workers – report

The French government intends to make vaccination against COVID-19 obligatory for the healthcare workers in the country, BFM TV reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The Council of State is expected to discuss the legislation on Tuesday, the report added.

French Health Minister Olivier Veran hinted that making inoculation mandatory for medical workers is a possibility in the middle of June, attributing his decision to the low percentage of healthcare professionals who received a COVID shot.
