FTDES: 853 Tunisian migrants reached Italian shores in April

According to figures issued by the Social Observatory reporting to the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES), 853 Tunisian migrants reached Italian shores in April 2024. The number of migrants recorded in April dropped by more than 18% per year compared to March.

“During April, more than 200 illegal migration operations were thwarted to stop 8,249 migrants of different nationalities (90% are sub-Saharan nationalities) from reaching the Italian coasts from the Tunisian coasts,” adds the FTDES.
