G-a-z-a: Eight Israeli soldiers burned to death in their vehicle

The Israeli occupation army reported the death of 8 of its members in the Gaza Strip, including a deputy company commander of the 601st engineering unit and an officer with the rank of captain.

The occupation army confirmed in a statement “the death of 8 Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip” and especially cited “the death of Captain Wassim Mahmoud, deputy company commander of the 601st engineering battalion, killed during a battle in Gaza’, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The Ynet website reported: “An armoured personnel carrier exploded near the Tal al-Sultan neighbourhood, and the incident resulted from the tanker being detonated with an explosive device, which led to the demises of the soldiers who were inside. »

Hebrew media reported that “the incident happened at dawn as the forces were heading towards the location, which was a home where other forces were present”: “When the forces were heading towards the place of stay, a large blast occurred, without this being preceded by shots towards the armoured vehicle. The occupying army is investigating whether the explosion took place because of an explosive device that was planted in the ground or one attached to the personnel carrier.
