Gaza: Communications ‘totally cut’

The head of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) reported this Thursday in Geneva that communications were once again “totally cut” with the Gaza Strip and denounced “a deliberate attempt at strangulation”.

During a press conference, Philippe Lazzarini condemned “a deliberate try to strangle our operation and paralyze that of UNRWA”, thus targeting the siege imposed by Israel on the Palestinian territory since October 7.

“Gaza is once again suffering from a total communications blackout, and (…) it is because there is no fuel,” Lazzarini also indicated just after informing UN member countries the voice of the situation in Gaza.
