The number of coronavirus cases topped seven million globally on Sunday after Russia reported nearly 9,000 new infections earlier today and Iran identified another 2,363 cases.
The United States remained the most affected country by the pandemic worldwide with almost two million cases registered, followed by Brazil with more than 670,000 confirmed infections. Russia ranks third as it has over 467,000 cases, while Spain’s COVID-19 infections were at nearly 290,000.
