Google has declared it’s rolling out its extremely anticipated ‘Interpreter Mode’ to Android and iOS-powered handsets.
The new mode for Google Assistant enables it to give real-time translations in 44 languages. All you require to do is say “Hey Google, be my [language] interpreter”.
If you’re using a device with a screen, you’ll also see written translation, and phone users can use Smart Reply so they can reply without actually speaking in foreign.
Interpreter mode was earlier exclusively accessible on Google Home smart speakers and displays. It’ll start rolling out inside the iOS and Android Google Assistant smartphone apps.
