Greece places Thessaloniki, Serres into lockdown

Spokesman of the Greek government, Stelios Petsas, announced on Monday the country would impose lockdown in regions of Thessaloniki and Serres due to the high number of coronavirus cases.

The measure is set to go into effect on November 3, and should last for two weeks. Under the measures, air travel to and from Thessaloniki will also be suspended during the lockdown, night-time curfew will be expanded, and all restaurants and bars in urban areas will be shut for one month.
