A strong 6.0 magnitude undersea earthquake has knocked Greece’s island of Crete, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) announced.
The tremor was recorded at a depth of 56 km between the islands of Crete and Kythera, and was felt as far as Athens, 265 km (165 miles) away. There were no instant reports of damage.
