Grossi urges West to restart nuclear talks with Iran

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Rafael Grossi urged Western countries on Thursday to resume talks about nuclear arms with Iran, warning that Tehran’s nuclear ambitions must not be ignored.

“We’re not asking for people to put pressure on Iran but to engage with us,” Grossi told Financial Times. “For this thing to succeed there must be a minimum level of consensus in the international community… that Iran must really co-operate with us and that it’s not a good thing to have latent proliferation points,” he added.
