Hamas comments on Israeli army’s announcement of liberating 4 prisoners

In the Hamas movement’s first statement on the Israeli army’s announcement of the rescue of 4 Israeli captives held in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, the movement considered this operation evidence of failure.

A Hamas official told Reuters today, Saturday, that “liberating 4 prisoners after 9 months is proof of failure, not an achievement,” the movement said

This came after Israeli army spokesman Admiral Daniel Hajari explained in a press conference that “hundreds of soldiers partook in this special operation, which saw intense gunfire on land, sea and air, to rescue four living hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.”

He also added that the operation had been under planning for weeks, adding that a policeman was seriously wounded during the clashes in the Nuseirat area in the central Gaza Strip.
