Health Insurance: Details of increase in ceiling for external health services

An addition was decided on Monday in the annual ceiling of the amounts of external health services protected under the health insurance scheme regarding the system of reimbursement of healthcare costs or the private healthcare system.

Here is the new annual ceiling for each case:

• 450 Dinars for a social insured person without dependents instead of 350 Dinars
• 675 Dinars for social insured with a dependent instead of 375 Dinars
• 900 Dinars for a social insured person with two dependents instead of 450 Dinars
• 1125 Dinars for a socially insured person with three dependents instead of 525 Dinars
• 1350 Dinars for a socially insured person with four or more dependents instead of 600 Dinars

Remark that the annual ceiling will be adjusted by adding the following amounts depending on the cases:

• 100 Dinars for each dependent child with a disability
• 100 Dinars for each person supported
• 150 Dinars for pregnancy follow-up costs or for wives of socially insured persons.
• 150 Dinars for dental care costs

Cone beam and scintigraphy costs will be excused from the annual spending limit. The increase in the costs of covering prescription glasses from 50 to 200 dinars, specifies that the costs of covering MRI and scanner will be modified before the end of February 2024.
