Hong Kong further eases zero-COVID policy

Hong Kong is further revising its zero-COVID policy as it aims to remove restrictions on travellers and make it easier to use a contact-tracking app, Nikkei Asia reported Tuesday, citing Chief Executive John Lee as saying.

Beginning on Wednesday, Hong Kong residents will no longer have to use the LeaveHomeSafe app to access restaurants, gyms, and other places. In addition, while visitors will still have to undergo a PCR test upon arrival, they will no longer be issued an amber code that prohibits their visits to bars and restaurants for the first three days of their stay.
