ICJ to hold hearings over Israeli attacks on Rafah

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) shared that it will hold public hearings on May 16 and May 17 regarding the newly submitted request by South Africa to address Israel’s military action in Gaza’s southern city of Rafah, the tribunal said in the statement published on Tuesday.

Last week, South Africa filed an additional “urgent” request within the World Court, calling on Israeli forces to withdraw from Rafah, underlining that Israeli attacks on the city pose a risk to the very existence of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as a group.
