“Diktats which come from abroad are unacceptable. We are a sovereign country”

President of the Republic Kais Saied, Thursday, visited the governorate of Monastir to commemorate the 23rd Anniversary of Habib Bourguiba.

Answering journalists’ questions about the possibility to sign an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Head of State stressed that: “diktats which come from abroad are unacceptable (…) We would have to rely on ourselves (…). We are a sovereign country. We refuse any foreign party to dictate our choices…”
