Iran records more than 5,000 daily COVID-19 cases

Iran recorded 5,039 daily cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the country’s Health Ministry announced on Tuesday. The figure marks the biggest increase in new cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

The total number of infections in Iran now stands at 539,670.

Meanwhile, 322 more people died from the disease in Iran to bring the coronavirus death toll in Iran to 31,034.
