Italy-Di Maio: Italy supports democratic Tunisia

“Today democratic Tunisia commemorates its tenth anniversary. The Tunisian people can be proud to have accomplished significant results in this decade in terms of political freedoms and individual rights, the holding of free and transparent elections, the peaceful succession at the top of the State. Democracy is a long and complex process for everyone “, Italy’s  Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said.
“Tunisian institutions will be capable to continue to count on powerful Italian support to consolidate the rule of law, favour the full implementation of shared democratic values and implement reformations beneficial for instilling new confidence in the economy. Even with concrete projects in favour of businesses and the younger generations, Italy plans to remain alongside Tunisia in its irreversible democratic choice “,Mr Di Maio added.
