Italy records a new tally of 24,991 COVID-19 cases

Italy recorded on Wednesday 24,991 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the national tally to 589,776.

The country also reported 205 new coronavirus-related deaths, which bring the death toll from the disease to 37,905.
