Italy reports 53 COVID-19 deaths, zero infections in Veneto

Italy on Sunday announced 53 more deaths from coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 33,899, as an increasing number of regions registered no new cases.

The tally of infections dropped again on Sunday, by 615, placing the total at 35,262.

Veneto – which had to fight the first cluster of COVID-19 in late February – on Sunday reported for the first time zero deaths and no contagions.
