Japanese Ministry of Finance announced that it will be freezing the assets of seventeen Russian officials, a measure which the Cabinet approved.
The Ministry stated that “in order to maintain international peace and security and to contribute to international efforts for international peace,” they decided to freeze the assets of certain Russian individuals.
In accordance with the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law, the implemented measures will restrict payments and capital transactions.
