Japan prepares to resume funding of UNRWA

Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko declared, on the sidelines of a meeting with Philippe Lazzarini in Tokyo, that his country is preparing to resume financing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA).

“UNRWA will establish a “new framework” with Tokyo on the management and monitoring of projects to ensure the transparency and traceability of projects, with the active participation of the agency’s Japanese staff” indicates the Head of Diplomacy.
