The Japanese government declared on Saturday it will forbid all foreign nationals from accessing the country until the end of January after it discovered the new strain of COVID-19 among passengers coming from the United Kingdom.
The measure will take effect from Monday, and it will exclude Japanese nationals and foreigners living in Japan, the local media reported. So far, seven people tested positive for the new strain, which is believed to be more transmittable.
