Johnson: Putin’s barbaric venture must end in failure

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “hideous and barbaric venture” in Ukraine “must end in failure.”

“Our worst fears have come true,” Johnson stated and accused Russia of attacking democracy and freedom.

Johnson branded Putin a “dictator” who “unleashed war” on the European continent. The UK prime minister vowed to impose a “massive package of economic sanctions” against Moscow and insisted Europe must “cease dependence on Russian oil and gas.”
