Kais Saied at Ministry of Interior: intensify security efforts

President of the Republic, Kais Saied, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior on the evening of Friday, June 21, 2024.

During this visit, he met with Khaled Ennouri, Minister of the Interior, Sofiene Bessadok, Secretary of State for National Security, and several senior security officials.

President Kais Saied insisted on the necessity to redouble efforts to guarantee the country’s security while fully respecting citizens’ rights and freedoms. He emphasised the significance of fighting all forms of crime and countering the actions of entities seeking to inflame the situation. These well-known entities are related to lobbies and corruption networks whose sole objective is to torment Tunisians by all means possible.

Following this meeting, the President met with several citizens to listen to their concerns and aspirations, therefore reinforcing his commitment to listening to the needs of the population.
