Khazri : “If I do it 50 times, I’ll miss 49”

Interviewed by the Sunday Team, Tunisian international Waahbi Khazri (63 caps, 22 goals) responded to his masterwork, the brilliant equalizing goal of the midfielder against Metz.

” I did not calculate. I seldom watch my goals, although there you have to. We put one in a lifetime, and again. I have got a lot of messages from relatives, friends. It was an astonishing goal, but I didn’t think it was going to create so much buzz. ”

The No. 10 from Saint-Etienne did not cover his recurring desire to try his luck from the central circle: “It’s the situation that includes him, in actions where you are on the counterattack and a little isolated. Now the goalies are performing from an advanced position to anticipate depth, which is all the more reason to give them a try. But it’s mostly about success, you can’t practice that. When I see it come in, it’s a blur, it’s a surprise. If I do it 50 times, I will miss 49 ”.
