Kirin Cup 2023: Japan beats Tunisia and wins title

Unlike the 33rd edition 2022, where our team gave Japan an anthological lesson in the true sense of the term, the latter won the title of the 34th event where the Japanese defeated the pawn (61% of possession and 17 shots against only 1 Tunisian shot) to the “Eagles of Carthage” in their own den of Kobe and in front of their imposing public 2-0.

The Japanese opened the scoring thanks to Kyogo Furuhashi (43′) before making the break via Junya Ito (69′) to lead their face-to-face in front of the Tunisians at 4-1.
