Kuwait foils plan by ‘terrorist cell’ to target Shiite places of worship

Kuwait’s interior ministry thwarted a plan by a “terrorist” cell that planned to target Shiite places of worship, Kuwait News Agency reported on Thursday.
Security personnel were able to follow up on the cell, monitor its movements, and apprehend three members belonging to a terrorist organization, KUNA said.

The Arab defendants were referred to the Public Prosecution so that legal measures could be taken against them.
