Le Drian: Worst in Ukraine probably yet to come

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated on Thursday that “it is possible that the worst is ahead of us” when it comes to Russia’s military operations in Ukraine as “we cannot dialogue if there is no ceasefire” and “do not negotiate under terror.”

Le Drian told France 2 TV that he believes Russia attempted to conduct the so-called blitzkrieg and conquer Ukraine rapidly but faced a “strong resistance on the part of the Ukrainians.” That is why it started surrounding cities, which led to the “fall” of Kherson, the continued siege of Kharkiv, and the similar fears for Mariupol.
