Lebanese army to get funding from Qatar

The Lebanese Army announced on Monday that the Qatari government would provide an additional $20 million in funding for its military.

According to the statement, the cash flow is intended to provide support for the “current challenges” that Lebanon is facing. The funding was announced by Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
