Libya: Daily Crude Oil Production Hits Highest Level Since 2011

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported on Wednesday that daily crude oil production has surpassed this year’s target, reaching 1,405,609 barrels per day.

For context, Libya’s oil production before 2011 stood at 1.6 million barrels per day, accounting for 2% of global output.

The NOC underlined its commitment to further growth, to double production in the coming year and beyond. The company voiced optimism about achieving even more substantial results following the launch of a public tender for oil and gas exploration and production. This initiative is expected to create significant investment opportunities for major international companies in Libya.
