Prime Minister of Libya’s UN-recognized Government of National Accord Fayez al-Sarraj is set to visist Algeria on Monday to address developments in Libya, the presidency announced in a declaration.
Overseeing a high-level commission, the Libyan official is due to meet with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune “to review the developments in Libya and approaches to overcome these hard circumstances.”
Libyan foreign and interior ministers, Taher Siala and Fathi Bashagha, had arrived in Algeria earlier in the day.
Algeria pledged to make every effort, except military intervention, to rebuild peace and security in Libya, while encouraging UN-backed political process.
