The municipality of Al Joufrah in Libya has registered one case of malaria, according to the Libyan Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The centre announced that the infected person was transported to Tripoli hospital. It further confirmed the dispatch of epidemiological investigation teams to examine suspicious areas and some residents or anyone with symptoms as part of early detection.
The same source said the samples of water are programmed to be taken from ponds and swamps in Al Joufrah, Socna, Sabha and all the towns where cases of malaria have been detected
