Libya: Mellitah Oil and Gas Company prepares to drill 8 gas wells to produce 160 million cubic feet per day

In Libya, the National Oil Corporation has reported that Mellitah Oil and Gas Company is preparing to drill 8 gas wells at a water depth of up to 100 meters, at the marine structure site (A), with a target production of 160 million cubic feet per day.

The company is expected to start drilling operations soon after the arrival of the drilling rig (Valid Rig) from Borr Drilling, a global leader in oil and gas well drilling.

It is expected that the drilling work will be finished within 15 months, with the target production reaching approximately 160 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This will help stabilize natural gas supplies for the local market, fueling electricity generation plants, cement factories, steel mills, and also providing cooking gas.
