The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi invited the President of the Republic of Congo Brazzaville, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who chairs the High-Level Committee of African Union Heads of State and Government on Libya, to pay a visit to Libya to support the council’s efforts to make the national reconciliation project a success and to accomplish stability and peace.
This came during his meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Congo, Jean-Claude Gakosso, to examine the efforts exercised at the regional and international levels in order to attain a political solution to the Libyan crisis.
Menfi repeated the position of the Presidential Council calling for expediting a peaceful intra-Libyan solution to the current crisis.
