Libyan prime minister escapes assassination attempt

Several concordant sources in Libya reported on Thursday an armed attack that targeted the car of the prime minister of Libya’s interim Government of National Unity Abdelhamid Debaïba, at dawn in the centre of Tripoli.

Debaïba’s car was reportedly caught in blasts of direct gunfire. According to the news collected on the spot, Débaïba fled unscathed from this attack. The official parties, in particular, the presidency of the government have not, until now, made any statements in this regard.
