Libya’s UN-recognised government slams any Egyptian intervention

The Libyan government of National Accord (GNA) condemned Saturday any direct intervention by Egypt, mentioned earlier by Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, regarding it as a “severe” threat to Libyan national security.

“We firmly reject the words (of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah) al-Sissi which we consider as (…) interference in (internal) affairs and a serious threat to the national security of Libya,” said Mohamad. Amari Zayed, member of the Presidential Council of the GNA.
