The third edition of GITEX Africa, the continent’s largest technology and entrepreneurship event, officially opened on Monday, April 14, 2025, in Marrakech, Morocco. The event runs through April 16, bringing together a massive global audience of over 45,000 participants from around 130 countries.
Aimed at advancing Africa’s digital landscape, GITEX Africa 2025 offers a packed three-day schedule filled with press conferences, networking events, and investor meetups. The exhibition will showcase cutting-edge innovations and feature discussions on technological development, digital transformation, and AI advancements.
This year’s edition hosts more than 1,400 exhibitors and approximately 660 speakers and tech leaders, highlighting the event’s mission to shift Africa’s role from a technology consumer to a key global influencer in the digital space.
A major highlight includes a digital summit featuring global experts who will tackle pressing topics such as the latest in artificial intelligence, 5G, and emerging digital ecosystems.
Notably, the International Finance Corporation (IFC)—a branch of the World Bank focused on private sector financing—will also partake, reflecting its commitment to sustainable investment and accelerating Africa’s digital transformation.
As in previous years, Tunisia has a strong presence at the event, with several Tunisian startups and entrepreneurs actively showcasing their innovations. Tunisia Numérique will be covering their contributions in upcoming features and interviews.
