French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed on Tuesday that France will pledge €125 million of further support to Ukraine. Speaking at the “Standing with the Ukrainian People” donor conference in Paris, Macron said that his country has already provided €151.5 million since the beginning of the war with Russia in February.
The panel included a video call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky who said that his country needs more emergency energy aid in the vicinity of €800 million. Macron said that his latest financial package is split between €76.5 million for energy and €48.5 million for humanitarian support.
