Malaysian authorities on Saturday arrested a couple suspected of providing handguns to a man believed to be an Israeli spy. The man was detained earlier this week after entering the country on March 12, using a potentially fake French passport and carrying six pistols and 200 rounds of ammunition.
According to local media, the suspected spy’s intentions are currently unclear. Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said he claimed to have come to Malaysia to settle a personal matter but that “we do not fully trust this narrative as we suspect there may be another agenda.”
