A bus transporting worshippers to an Easter festival in South Africa plunged off a bridge on a mountain pass on Thursday, killing 45 people and leaving one survivor, the Associated Press reported, citing the country’s authorities.
The bus was apparently on its way from Botswana to Moria, a city in the country’s Limpopo province, when it veered off a bridge plummeting 50 meters into a mountainside gap, leaving an 8-year-old girl as the sole survivor.
The child was rushed to a hospital and received medical attention.
