Mariem Sassi’s request is rejected, she remains in prison

The Sixth Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of Tunis declined this Thursday, March 14, the request for the release of the communications officer of the Free Destourian Party (PDL), Mariem Sassi. The examination of his file is deferred to a date which will be set later…

Remember that the prosecution of the Court of First Instance of Tunis had ordered her detention for alleged falsification, in particular the deletion of computer data. At the end of the detention period, the prosecution signed an arrest warrant against the PDL leader and referred her to the Criminal Chamber to answer the charges against her.
