Marine Le Pen: Habib Bourguiba banned wearing the veil in Algeria

The president of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen disclosed this Tuesday, April 12, 2022, that the former President of the Tunisian Republic Habib Bourguiba has banned the veil in Algeria. In an interview granted to reporters from the 7/9 program on France Inter, Le Pen specified that “Habib Bourguiba has prohibited the wearing of the veil in Algeria…France would not be the only country to ban the wearing of this uniform ( …) she say.

 “The veil “is an Islamist uniform and it is under the Islamist uniform that I will deny it in public space in France”, declared the nominee of the National Rally (RN).
