Mazouna Tragedy: MPs Demand Immediate Dialogue with the Minister of Education

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 37 members of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People submitted a request to the Assembly’s registry office to hold an urgent dialogue session with the Minister of Education, Noureddine Nouri. In a statement to national radio, MP Abderrazek Aouidet, from the “Al-Khat al-Watani al-Siyadi” bloc, said that the session would aim to broadly address issues related to the education sector.

This initiative comes in the wake of the tragedy that happened on Monday, April 14, when a wall collapsed at the secondary school in Mazouna, in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid, resulting in the deaths of three students and injuries to two others.
