Mega solar power plant project to be launched in Gabes

A consultation session was held, Thursday, at the seat of the governorate of Gabes on the environmental and social repercussions of a project to build a solar power plant in El Hicha,  Gabes, the Director General of the consulting firm told Tunisie numérique local correspondent.

The 197-megawatt solar power plant, which stretches over an area of 303 hectares, will help generate 40 permanent jobs, the same source said.

The 18-month project, whose works will start in late 2023, costs TND 600 million, he added.
