Menzel Temime: Person Detained for Growing Marijuana in Pots for Trade Purposes

A joint security team, consisting of the Judicial Police Unit in Menzel Temime, the Rescue Police Unit, and the National Security Center in Menzel Temime, successfully arrested an individual who was deliberately cultivating narcotic plants for trade.

According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, information was received revealing that an individual was growing narcotic plants with the intent to sell them. Coordinating with the Public Prosecution, the aforementioned teams went to the suspect’s home. Upon searching the premises, they found 12 pots containing marijuana plants.

Following consultation with the Public Prosecution, an order was issued to detain the individual for “cultivating and possessing narcotic substances with the intent of trading in them outside the conditions permitted by law,” as stated in the report.
