Mexico’s central Pacific coast was hit by a 7.6 magnitude earthquake, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Monday, with the Pacific Tsunami Center issuing a tsunami warning following the tremor.
According to USGS, the earthquake struck at a depth of 15.1 kilometers. The National Seismological Service of Mexico reported that the earthquake occurred 59 kilometers south of Coalcoman de Vazquez Pallares, off the coast of Michoacan state.
